China launches first solar exploration satellite – Times of India

BEIJING: China sent its first on Thursday solar exploration satellite in space from Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in northern Shanxi province.
The satellite was launched aboard a Long March-2D Rocket and successfully entered its intended orbit.
Ten small satellites, including an experimental orbital atmospheric density sensing satellite and a commercial weather sensing constellation experimental satellite, were also sent into space using the same carrier rocket, the agency reported. Xinhua official press.
This was the 391st flight mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
