Italy investigates Apple, Google and Dropbox cloud storage services

The Italian competition watchdog invests Apple, Google and Dropbox, TechCrunch reports. In one Press release, the AGCM announced that it has opened six investigations into the cloud storage services of companies: Google Drive, iCloud and Dropbox.

The authority is concerned that the services do not adequately explain how user data will be collected and used for commercial purposes. He also investigates unfair terms in service contracts, clauses that exempt services from some liability and the prevalence of English versions of contracts over Italian versions.
