Russia not involved in so-called “Havana Syndrome” attacks, Kremlin says – Times of India

MOSCOW: The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russia has nothing to do with the so-called ‘Havana Syndrome‘, a mysterious disease that has affected around 200 American diplomats, officials and their families abroad.
He was responding to a Washington Post article the day before that CIA Director William Burns told heads of Russian spy agencies during a recent visit to Moscow that he was “beyond pallor ”for foreign intelligence agencies to cause brain injuries and other ailments to US personnel and family members.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the issue was not discussed in political meetings during the CIA director’s trip or with President Vladimir Putin.
He said he could not comment on private conversations held with Russian security services.
“Here we can only firmly deny any hint, suggestion or statement regarding the supposed involvement of the Russian side in these matters,” Peskov said. “We have nothing to do with it.”
